MACA Cancer 200 - Volunteers Needed
Call for Volunteers to Support the MACA Cancer 200 – Road Crew
What is it?
The MACA Cancer 200 is a charity cycling event where participants (1500+) ride 200km over two days to raise money (>$8M in 2025) for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. It's a non-competitive, fully supported ride from Perth to Mandurah and back, open to all fitness levels, with riders often sporting yellow flags to honour cancer survivors or patients, making it an emotional journey of hope and community.
Volunteers for the MACA Cancer 200 support riders by providing essential services. Our role as the Road Crew is corner marking and safety marshals, cheering them on, ensuring a smooth, safe, and motivating two-day cycling event.
The event is in its 15th year; we join with the Ulysses and other motorcyclists posted along the route. You can follow the riders all the way to Mandurah and join the dinner and evening celebrations, camping overnight ahead of getting up and doing it again on the Sunday as the riders return to Perth.
The Perth Chapter has supported this event every year from its inception. In the early years the Road Crew were all Perth Chapter Hogs and as we needed to call on additional support engaged with the Ulysses. We have even supported members participating as cyclist for the event

October 17-18, 2026
What do I need to do?
You can help on either Saturday, Sunday or both days. Volunteers are provided with refreshments and lunch, and a Volunteer T-Shirt. If staying overnight in Mandurah there is dinner, drinks from the bar, entertainment, and a tent plus amenities.

Intro Ride
On the Second Saturday of each month, we have an Intro Ride. Departing from Highway Harley-Davidson in Midvale, at 8.30am. The ride starts, and returns to Highway Harley-Davidson, where you can enjoy a BBQ and refreshments, an opportunity to meet other members, and of course feast your eyes on plenty of Harley Davidson motorcycles.
HOGTorque
Our Monthly HOGTorque meeting is held on the second Monday of each month at The Stirling Arms Hotel, Guildford. The meeting starts at 7.30pm, but you're welcome to get there earlier for some great meal specials. Enjoy a catch up with other members and get the low-down on what's going on with activities and rides, and there is always the chance of winning on of our free door prizes
